The Finnish Academy of Science commissioned idaDesign for a comprehensive space and interior design plan for their offices on Mariankatu, Helsinki. The assignment involved planning the complete renovation of a new office floor and updating the existing office spaces to create a cohesive whole. Traditional shades and authentic materials were used to create a foundation for the interior design that respects both the Finnish Academy of Science and the building's historical significance in Helsinki. By reorganizing the spaces, improving lighting, and acquiring new furniture, the functionality of the workspace was enhanced without compromising its dignity. The result was high-quality and sustainable spaces that aligned with the client's ethical principles.
